Noah Matatu is a self-taught composer from Genval, Brabant-Wallon. Nothing predestined him for music, until he met Samuel Lauric, better known as Hunter, at the age of 13. Their friendship changed everything. During his confinement, Noah began composing on his friend's keyboard, with a single idea in mind: to become his producer.
He learned on his own, transcribing Angèle's Brol album note by note, before attending a jazz school in Antwerp, then a classical conservatory, which he left to blaze his own trail.
His musical approach is instinctive and contrasted: jazz, he integrated into his free and fluid way of playing; classical music gave him a sense of harmony and structure. But it's outside the box that Noah blossoms.
Between raw beats, organic textures, unexpected progressions and charged silences, he develops a deeply human signature, where intuition always guides technique. Through landmark collaborations with Hunter, Godson, Neo, Alpha, 13 sur écoute and Nekketsu Klan.
Hunter's EP Le Crève-cœur, released in January 2025, marks a turning point in his career. More than a producer or composer, Noah is a full-fledged member of the project, working with Hunter like a rock band.
Each track is the fruit of an intense musical and emotional dialogue. Together, they build a coherent, organic and sincere body of work. Noah Matatu is more than a composer; he's a sound-maker for whom every note is a word, and every silence an emotion.
